Here's an absolutely fantastic sounding and playing 1997 Squier Vista Series Venus. This guitar came in with some active electronics, an EMG 81 and it just didn't feel right. The original pickguard was carved up to accommodate the pickup swap so I fabricated a new one and threw in JB and it sounds - again - absolutely fantastic. To add a little versatility a Fender S-1 Switch was installed to split the JB - AND - flip the phase of the neck pickup to give 5 distinct tones. The toggle and jack are both Switchcraft.
Cosmetically this guitar definitely has some flaws that have been clearly pictured, however the playability far outweighs these blemishes.
